I’m Mikayla (Míša).

Photography has been part of my life for a long time. I think I started back in elementary school. Over the years, I fell in love with it more and more, until photography became my everyday reality: countless projects, shooting rock concerts 🤘, and eventually working as an editor for luxury American weddings. I can’t imagine a single day without it.

At one point, I reached a crossroads. I faced my fears and walked away from a career in medicine. Letting go of a degree I was close to finishing was anything but easy. I left for Asia for an indefinite amount of time to travel the world ✈️. I discovered new places — but more importantly, I discovered myself. I experienced something completely different. I photographed on beaches, among skyscrapers, in exotic nature, and with people from all over the world. I didn’t know if or when I would return to the Czech, or what would come next.

I realized many things along the way…

And the most important one? I don’t want to be a doctor.

So here I am —a full-time photographer.
